The Vancouver Hot Chocolate Fest is an event that was MADE to be shared.

Want to make sure your product or brand is viral-friendly? Remember these tips:

🔥 This is why branding, packaging, and presentation matter. And if you’re a location, do you have bright lighting? An interesting environment? If you’re a product, do you have unique packaging? A strong and fun brand voice?

🔥 Reward people for sharing. For an event like this, people know by sharing that other people will find them because this is a big event with a ton of PR behind it. You can offer prizes for sharing or re-share content if you have a large audience.

🔥 When you have something new this is the best time for people to share because they want to be the one who breaks the news. So even if you have an evergreen product you can do limited-edition packaging or product like a Lunar New Year special. You can also do something limited edition so people can brag about being one of the lucky ones to get their hands on it.

Remember WHY people share. It’s for credibility, to boost their own profile, or for their own incentive.

And remember that sometimes what is going viral won’t boost sales, but it SHOULD boost your profile to driver overall sales.
